I gave a look at this idea (more than a look :P), and it seems something very interesting, and I am quite excited about this.
Of course balance has different aspects and I am concentrating here on items importance in the game.
1) Will the player be able to using items during combat?
2) Will equipment be customizable? what about drop?
3) What about weapons?
We have seen to many games that are too much item-based and I am sure you do not want another game like this. Usable items (such as health potion, mana potion, etc.) are an important aspect to consider and I think we should talk about this.
Sincerely I do not like the introduction of this kind of items because I would prefer to base the pvp entirely on player's abilities, but I had to introduce this question to know what others think about this.
As I can see there will be no grindind so no PVE, this way we should introduce a new concept of drop (If we want to introduce this aspect).
I think equipment should be fully customizable, and should be something that give advantage to players but I want to explain better.
An experienced player/ group of players must be able to defeat another less experienced player/group of players no matter the equipment. At the same time Item bonus should exist but they should facilitate the combat (not make the combat itself).
